This means that you can use the ingredients in your kitchen to create an affordable yet effective skincare recipes. You don’t need to be a chemist in order to whip up a skincare recipe. Just your knowledge on basic cooking and preparation in the kitchen is all that you need.
For Dry and Aging Skin
The solution to this problem is to create a cocoa mask that is filled with antioxidant. It aids in replenishing the lost moisture in the skin thus restoring its youthful appearance. It is only natural for the skin to loose its moisture because of aging. When you enter a certain age where your skin starts to loose the moisture slowly, it is also the perfect time to replenish and hydrate the skin.
Mix up one tbsp cocoa powder, 1 tbsp honey, 1 tbsp sour cream and 1 egg white. Apply the mixture onto your face and let it dry before washing it away.
These powerful ingredients will help keep the moisture locked onto the skin, thus preventing dry and aging skin. Sour cream has lactic acid that gently exfoliates and hydrates the skin. Honey is capable of boosting hydration to the skin since it is considered as a humectant while the protein present in the egg firms and tightens the skin.
For Oily Skin
To fix oily skin, you need to regulate its pH levels by using the high level alpha-hydroxy acids found in apple cider. Combine it with the removal of excessive production of oil with the ground oats. Oats actually contain saponins, which is known to be a very powerful cleanser.
Mix 3 tsp ground oats with 1/4 teaspoon apple cider until it forms a paste. After this, add up 1/4 tbsp lemon juice and half a tablespoon brown sugar. Mix it well. Apply the fresh mixture directly on cleansed skin and leave it on for between five to ten minutes. This will give time for the ingredients to penetrate into the skin. Don’t wash it away just yet; rub the mixture still on skin in a circular manner in order to exfoliate the skin and improve blood flow. Rinse it off with lukewarm water and pat skin dry with a towel.
For Rough Hands

Mix up 1 tbsp ripe blueberries and crush it. Add 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp baking soda, 1 tbsp cucumber juice and 2 tbsp water. Blend the mixture well and spread it evenly on your face. Leave the mixture on between fifteen to twenty minutes. Rinse your face gently with your hands and lukewarm water.
