Oldie but Goodie Hot Oil Massage

There’s nothing new about a hot oil massage. However, as the old saying goes, sometimes the old ways are the best ways. Massaging the hair with various types of oils can help to improve the blood circulation in the scalp. That helps the sebaceous glands to make more sebum, which adds a protective layer to your locks.

What does the hot oil do? Heating the oil a little makes sure that the oil will get into your hair roots. That will help to provide nutrients to your hair/scalp by moving all vital nutrients contained in the oil to your hair/scalp.

You can use various types of oil such as coconut, olive, or almond oil. Use an amount of oil that’s the right ratio for your hair. Heat the oil a little. Then rub the oil into your scalp. Use your fingertips to massage the oil into your hair roots. After massaging around 15 minutes, let the oil set for a minimum of 2 hours. You could also leave it in as you sleep. Next, use a mild shampoo to wash out the oil. Follow this process 2-3 times per week then once p[per week.

Eggs: An Excellent Treatment for Dry/Damaged Hair

Eggs can help to treat dry and damaged hair  and make your locks look shinier because of the high amount of protein in the food. Besides the protein egg whites are also high in fat, and can help to moisturize your locks when they’ve become dehydrated.

Making an egg mask for dry hair is quite easy. First, you’ll need to gather the ingredients. They include 1-2 eggs (based on hair length), 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice, and 2 teaspoons of olive oil or almond oil. First, mix up the eggs well. Then add lemon juice and oil to the eggs. Lemon will remove the bad smell and oil will make the mask more moisturizing. Mix everything well to make a smooth mask then apply the mixture to your hair/scalp. Gently massage your scalp so the nutrients get into your hair’s roots. Let the blend set for 15-20 minutes, then use a gentle shampoo to wash out the mixture. Repeat this process one time every 2 to 4 weeks.

Green Fruit for Great Hair

Avocado is another excellent home remedy for treating dull hair. It’s become famous as being a superfood due to all the nutrients it contains including Vitamin A, D, E, and others. It  also contains various minerals copper, potassium, magnesium, and iron. Besides being helpful for treating hair, it can also be used for skin, eyes, nails, and other body parts.

You’ll need to make a hair mask for dull hair. Ingredients you’ll need are 1 ripe avocado that’s been peeled, 1 egg white, 1 tablespoon of oil such as coconut, castor or other type, and 1 tablespoon of yogurt. First mash up the avocado in order to form a paste. Then add the egg white, oil and optional yogurt. Mix the ingredients until a paste (smooth) is made. Add the mask to your hair and make sure that it’s well-covered. Let it set on your hair for half an hour. Then use water to rinse the mixture well. You could also use slightly warm water but don’t use hot water.

Acid for a Sweet Result

Vinegar is very acidic and is also one of the best substances you can use to condition your hair naturally. In fact, it’s been used for centuries. You can use either regular vinegar or apple cider vinegar. It’s important to restore your hair’s cuticles after they’ve opened up due to shampooing. Vinegar provides many other benefits including restoring the regular pH levels.

You’ll need 1 cup of cane vinegar or apple cider vinegar and 3-4 cups of water. Mix up the vinegar and water in order to make the solution. After washing and conditioning your hair, add the vinegar to your locks. Massage it into your hair/scalp, and make sure the hair ends get a lot of the vinegar rinse. Then let the vinegar set for a couple of minutes. Finally, use water to rinse your hair and then use a towel to gently dry it.

As a word of caution, make sure not to use the vinegar solution too often on your hair. You could use it 1-2 times per week at first, but then reduce the frequency after that.

Make Your Hair Go Bananas

Bananas are easily one of the superfoods you can eat. They’re loaded with many vitamins including A, B, C, as well as E, and minerals such as iron, zinc, and potassium. If you’re suffering from hair issues such as split-ends, dandruff, and others then banana is definitely one of the best options for you. To make this home remedy you’ll need 1 ripe banana, ½ ripe avocado, and 2-3 tablespoons of coconut milk in order to form a smooth paste.
