Castor Oil

This oil can stimulate follicles and it can provide nourishment for your eyelashes as well. Any micro-organisms that are preventing your lashes from growing properly will be taken care of as well. As a result, you will be able to enjoy having eyelashes that are voluminous and lustrous.

With either a cotton swab or a clean brush, apply the oil on your lashes just before you go to sleep. To make your castor oil even more effective, you might want to add a couple of drops of Vitamin E. Allow the oil to set on your eyelashes overnight and rinse it off when you wake up. Make sure that you use lukewarm water when you rinse the oil off. Another option that you can try is mixing aloe vera gel with the castor oil in place of Vitamin E.

Remember to do this routine daily for two to three months.

Olive Oil

This is commonly known for aiding in hair growth which means it can also be used to achieve the thicker eyelashes that we all want to have. Olive oil contains a lot of oleic acid and Vitamin C. These two can give your eyelashes more volume, darken it and nourish it as well.

Do this routine before you go to sleep because you will need to keep the oil on your lashes overnight. Clean your old mascara stick and dip that in olive oil. If you do not have any, use your regular cotton swab instead. Apply the oil on your lashes exactly the same way you would apply your mascara. Rinse the oil when you wake up in the morning and make sure that you use lukewarm water. Do this routine every day for a few months until you get your desired result.

Brush Your Eyelashes

You are also encouraging your lashes to grow when you brush them. You will be freeing your pores of dirt and dust. The blood circulation will also be improved and your follicles will get more nutrients that it needs for hair to grow thicker.

Use an eyelash brush or comb for this routine and make sure to apply a little vitamin E or petroleum jelly prior to brushing. Apply the jelly or oil on your eyelashes using the brush. Your brush strokes should be upwards, starting from the root of your eyelashes. You need to repeat this routine twice a day, five minutes per session. Continue doing it until you see the results you want.

Lemon Peels

Lemon peels are great for improving your hair’s volume. Lemon peels are also great for enhancing the stimulating and cleansing properties of castor and olive oil. So if you have any of the two oils, you might want to infuse them with lemon peels.

Now this is something that is going to take a little preparation. Allow your lemon peels to dry moderately first before you use them. Measure a tablespoon of lemon peels and soak them in castor or olive oil. Leave the peels for soaked in olive or castor oil for a few weeks. Once your mixture is ready, you can apply it on your eyelashes using an old mascara stick. Like the other remedies, keep the mixture on your eyelashes overnight and rinse it off the next day. Make sure that you use warm water when you rinse the mixture. You will need to do this regular for a few months before you will be able to appreciate the results.
